Club Statement - Brett Williams
"The Board can confirm that we have accepted an offer from AFC Totton for striker Brett Williams. The player has agreed personal terms, and the deal is expected to be completed within the next 24 hours.
"Manager Ian Baird, whilst disappointed to lose a talented young player, is in complete agreement with the transfer and will now be in a position to look to strengthen his squad.
"Brett, who joined on a free transfer from Winchester City last year, has significant promise - and we will watch his progress with interest.
"We would ask our supporters to recognise, as always, that when a significant offer is made for any player - we are obliged to consider the financial consequences. Our present level of support, which is down on last season, does not sustain our obligations - and thus we are always realistic when dealing with offers from other Clubs.
"Needless to say, we wish Brett well for his future and thank him for his contribution to the Club over the past year or so."
