HARRIERS TITLE SWOOP LANDS BURR THE FEBRUARY HONOURS Kidderminster Harriers boss Steve Burr has been named the Blue Square Bet Premier ‘manager of the month’ for February. Five wins from five league matches during the period has put Burr’s team second in the table and as short as 9/2 to win the title. Their current run of form shows an incredible 15 wins in their last 17 league games as they have put their horrific start to the season behind them. During the month their 100% record included a vital 1-0 win at promotion rivals Forest Green Rovers as well as victories at Hyde and Nuneaton. They conceded just three goals in those five February victories and found the net no less than 12 times. The award is Burr’s second of the season having previously been named the ‘manager of the month’ for December. In the Blue Square Bet North the ‘manager of the month’ award for February goes to FC Halifax Town manager Neil Aspin. The Shaymen have been playing catch-up in the race fo

Eastleigh 2-2 Havant & Waterlooville

EASTLEIGH v HAVANT & WATERLOOVILLE Tuesday 26th February 2013 Blue Square Bet South Match report by Jamie Montigue Eastleigh tonight met rivals Havant & Waterlooville in what is always a hotly contested Hampshire derby. In the years that have past it has been proven that this is a game that so often provides entertainment and goals; and one that both sets of fans look out for first at the beginning of the season when the fixtures are released. Four goals were shared in a pulsating second half that included two penalties (one apiece) and Eastleigh having to fight back from a two-goal deficit to earn a share of the spoils. All of this and a fine performance from the visiting goalkeeper Clark Masters, ensured the match more than lived up to expectations on a cold, Tuesday evening. Richard Hill's side have been in strong form recently but suffered a setback at the weekend with only their first defeat in five games by losing 2-1 at Hayes & Yeading. Home form at the

Zebroski signs for Eastleigh

Eastleigh FC are pleased to announce the signing of Ex-Cheltenham Town forward Chris Zebroski. Chris, 26, joins as a free agent after being released by Cheltenham Town in January 2013. Chris had scored 6 goals in 24 appearances for Cheltenham after a summer switch from Bristol Rovers. He started off at Swindon Town as a youth player in 2003-2004, and after an initial spell at Cirencester Town, worked his way back in to the football league, eventually transferring to Wycombe Wanderers for a substantial fee. Richard Hill has stated that Chris is due to train with the squad today and will be available for selection for Tuesday evening's home game against local rivals Havant and Waterlooville. We would like to welcome Chris in to the squad and hope he can come and play to the best of his ability for the Spitfires.

Hayes & Yeading 2-1 Eastleigh

HAYES & YEADING UNITED v EASTLEIGH Saturday 23rd February 2013 Blue Square Bet South Match report by Paul McNamara Two collective lapses in concentration, a plethora of spurned opportunities, and a determinedly resolute Hayes & Yeading side all combined to thwart Eastleigh’s attempts to maintain their recent revival in away form at Woking’s Kingfield Stadium. The only fair criticism that can be levelled at the Spitfires’ performance is its lack of ruthlessness in the final third, but it’s hard to escape the feeling that even a point gained would have been a frustrating outcome at the end of this 90 minutes. The ball spent much of the game’s early minutes in the air, with neither team able to piece together any quality possession. The first occasion on which Eastleigh were able to mount an attack of some conviction so nearly led to a fourth minute breakthrough – a foothold which you suspect would have altered the course of the afternoon dramatically. Eastleigh 1-0 Chelmsford City

EASTLEIGH v CHELMSFORD CITY Saturday 16th February 2013 Blue Square Bet South Match report by Jamie Montigue Having seen off top of the table Salisbury City in midweek with a solid display and 1-0 victory, Eastleigh today found themselves up against another side hopeful of promotion in the form of high-flying Chelmsford City. The same outcome resulted this afternoon as Richard Hill's side claimed their fourth consecutive win in the Blue Square Bet South to climb to sixth in the table at the end of play. Momentum and form is all falling into place for the Spitfires with just over two months of the season left to play. Should Eastleigh continue to show the same high level of performances to grind out these wins consistently – a play-off place looks increasingly likely. Eastleigh made two changes to the side who ran out winners on Tuesday night. Mitchell Nelson replaced Alex Lacey in defence, who was recalled by parent club Luton Town a few days ago. The second change

Eastleigh 1-0 Salisbury City

EASTLEIGH v SALISBURY CITY Tuesday 12th February 2013 Blue Square Bet South Match report by Jamie Montigue Eastleigh came into this local derby against league leaders Salisbury City with renewed confidence and an significant increase in form. Successive away victories at Weston-super-Mare and Staines Town has backed up the home form – which has seen comfortable wins over Billericay Town (5-0) and Farnborough (3-1) in the previous two matches at the Silverlake Stadium. Richard Hill's side were looking to continue where they left off in this eagerly anticipated encounter. There were two new faces on show in the starting line up this evening with Dan Spence (formerly of Hayes & Yeading) playing at left back in place of Michael Green, who dropped to the bench; and Adam Watkins who has joined on loan from Luton Town, replacing Damian Scannell (who missed out through illness) on the right hand side of midfield. Chris Todd and Dean Beckwith continued their pairing at cent
