- Effort from Marvin Williams scrambled clear by Eastleigh as we enter the closing minutes of this game.
- Fleetwood played the ball to McAllister down the right who held off his marker and played a great ball into the area.
- 83. Excellent save by Lovelock to deny Reason from point blank range.
- Fleetwood latched on to McAllister’s headed flick on but Lovelock raced to the edge of his area to thwart the Eastleigh attack.
- 78. Corner from Jai Reason picked out Craig McAllister whose header went wide of the target.
- Flitney safely claims the ball in the air from a Jamie Taylor cross into the box.
- 60. Eastleigh substitution: Craig McAllister replaces goal scorer Yemi Odubade.
- Glen Southam sees a shot from 25-yards deflected behind off of Ali Fuseini as Eastleigh force successive corner kicks. Still 1-0.
- The second half has been very stop-start so far. Chances have been hard to come by.
- 49. Dillon brings down Taylor as he is running through. The referee shows the Eastleigh defender a yellow card.
- HALF TIME: Eastleigh 1-0 Sutton United. Yemi Odubade’s goal separates the two sides at the break.
- 41. Sam Rents fires a powerfully struck free kick into the wall of Eastleigh defenders.
- 32. Sutton free kick played short by Fuseini to Nelson whose effort was well closed down by Strevens.
- Odubade was on hand to show his predatory instincts inside the six-yard box to find the net and profit from Reason’s assist. 1-0
- The opening goal came through good work by Reason who skilfully flicked the ball over a defender and played a dangerous ball across goal.
- 21. Dundas low shot to the right of goal fails to trouble Flitney.
- 15. Southam played a measured pass out to the left to find Strevens who cut inside well and fired a low shot just past the post.
- 13. Fleetwood played a measured pass over the Sutton defence but Odubade running through couldn’t get the ball under control.
- Odubade connected well with the ball at the far post on the volley but couldn’t keep his effort down. 0-0
- 10. Fleetwood was played through by Southam but his shot was blocked. Fleetwood then crossed to the back post for Odubade to fire over.
- Great chance for Eastleigh following excellent work by Stuart Fleetwood.
- 9. Jai Reason pounced on a loose ball in the penalty area but could only fire his shot straight at the keeper under pressure.
