Reaction | Ben Strevens | Chester

Ben Strevens shares his post-match thoughts after Eastleigh won 1-0 away at Chester to secure back-to-back wins:

"I thought last week there were massive positives in the way that we played and in the way the shape of the team looked. We changed it up slightly, we went three at the back and today we stayed in the game for long periods."

"I thought we played pretty well first half without really creating too much. I thought we were the better side and then nothing beats getting a last minute goal as well. Clean sheet - most importantly and then to get a last minute goal was brilliant."

"Last week we were solid from the get-go. We’ve talked about the game at York where we gave ourselves so much to do after the first 10-15 minutes being 2-0 down. The last couple of games we’ve been solid, in the game and then as the game goes on we’re going to get chances. We’ve got plenty of players that can score goals."

"It’s just about being a little bit more solid. The back three have defended really well with good help from the midfielders as well with all the boys working hard for each other."

"To come away, even it had been a 0-0 it would have been a good point, but then a good delivery by little Sammy (Sam Matthews) and Willo (Scott Wilson) puts it in – it was good to see."

"When Willo is confident he is so hard to play against. He’s got pace and energy and I think he’s gone on from playing well last week getting that little bit of confidence the way he come on and performed and then getting the last minute winner today as well. That’s good for him and good for the group as well."
