Alton 0-9 Eastleigh - McCallum hits four in friendly

Eastleigh got some valuable match practice against Alton in their latest pre-season friendly.

The Spitfires eased to a 9-0 victory with summer-signing Paul McCallum scoring four.

It was a useful exercise for the Spitfires to play on a 3G surface as Richard Hill's side will face Bromley on a synthetic pitch on the opening day of the National League season.

Alton play in the Sydenhams Wessex One, five leagues lower than Eastleigh.

McCallum opened the scoring in the 19th minute, and then struck three more times in just ten minutes leading up to half time.

After the break Craig McAllister, Ross Stearn, Ayo Obileye, James Constable and Michael Green all added their names to the scoresheet in a convincing victory.

The Spitfires will take on an AFC Bournemouth XI at the Silverlake Stadium on Tuesday (7pm).
