Eastleigh boss Ronnie Moore - Quotes:

“We’re a non-league side, they’re League One and we haven’t just beaten them, we played them off the park.

“It’s unbelievable when you consider they’re a League One club – and we could have won by more.

“Alright, you can say they’re struggling, but they’re not in the bottom four any more.

“To beat a League One team when you’re a National League team is fantastic for me – and fantastic for the team.

“To totally dominate like we’ve done is remarkable.

“The support was just unreal. What was it, just short of 1,000 people here? It’s great for them to come up and see how well we’ve played.

“If we can believe in ourselves we’ve got a heck of a team here. I’ll still try to bring one or two in but it’s a fantastic night for Eastleigh FC.

“This is a ground where I’ve lost nine times out of ten. Last time I was here we lost 5-0 and the time before that we were winning 2-0 when the lights went out – we came back and lost 3-0!

“So for the lads to play like that was fantastic. The first half couldn’t have been any better. What a great break for the second goal. I didn’t know Dukes (Andy Drury) could run that fast but he’s bombed through and Mika’s picked him out.

“It was about taking your time and being cool under pressure. It was a fantastic finish. We knew they were going to improve, it was just a matter of not being too deep.

“We were always a threat on the counter attack and could have won by more. We haven’t been that bad in the league but the difference tonight was that we took our chances when they came and you put the opposition on the back foot when you do that.

“The support was unreal but they scored from a lackadaisical moment for us.

“You can’t take the mickey as a keeper, you do the right thing and clear it. Then your heart’s in your mouth with ten minutes to go and four minutes of added on time.

“If we keep playing like that there’s no-one in the National League that will live with us, we’ve set our standard now.

“Halifax will be a decent team if they’ve beaten Dagenham. But it’s a great opportunity to progress into the third round. Then you want one of the big boys and [the chance to] make yourself a fortune.”

Jai Reason - Quotes:

“This is a wonderful club to be at. It’s going in the right direction.

“We’ve got good backing from the chairman (Stewart Donald) and some very good players in that dressing room.

“We need to convert this win into league form and start creeping up that table.

“I’m not going to lie, it’s been a tough few months personally.

“A few things were said and I’ve had to get my head down and work that little bit harder.

“I got my chance again and took it with both hands but I’m not sure if I’ll still be here in a few months.

“I hope so because I love the club and the people here.

“It’s a wonderful club to be at, it’s going in the right direction with good backing and very good players.

“The decision isn’t down to me and I’ll go where I’m wanted. But it’s a funny old game, it can change overnight.

“We’ve done well in FA Cup in the last two years but the feelings I’ve got now sneak above [Crewe].

“We repaid the fans who came in numbers. They got their money’s worth but when you see the quality we’ve got it’s no surprise.

“If Swindon were honest with themselves they know we were the better side and deserved to win.

“We just need to take this into the league. The FA Cup is a nice distraction but hopefully we can start climbing the table again because our main aim is to get out of the [National] league."

Luke Williams - Head coach of Swindon Town - Quotes:

“It was men against boys tonight and I don’t mean that in a derogatory way to our players, it’s more of a literal sense.

“They (Eastleigh) are a team with hundreds of games behind them - and it showed.

“We struggled to keep the intensity we showed at the weekend (in a 3-0 league win over Charlton) and we came off second best.

“We were prepared and the players knew what the opposition were going to bring to the table, but tonight their (Eastleigh’s) will was stronger and we have fallen victim of not maintaining standards.”

Eastleigh boss Moore: This is better than beating Saints in the Cup!

RONNIE Moore was celebrating the best FA Cup result of his long career after his elated Eastleigh side stunned former Premier League outfit Swindon on a spine-tingling night at the County Ground. The Spitfires cruised into the second round with a 3-1 victory over a team two divisions higher in the pyramid.

Jai has Reason to be hopeful after FA Cup goal

JAI Reason hopes his opening goal in Eastleigh's historic FA Cup win at Swindon Town helps extend his career at the Silverlake Stadium. The Spitfires midfielder scored the opening goal in the 3-1 win at the County Ground and impressed on the right flank after getting his chance through the unavailability of Jake Howells.

Swindon coach admits Eastleigh's FA Cup glory night was "men again boys"

SWINDON Town head coach Luke Williams admitted it was "men against boys" last night as they fell prey to Ronnie Moore's non-League sensations Eastleigh in the FA Cup. Swindon, boasting one of the youngest squads in League One, were put to the sword 3-1 by their magnificent Vanarama National League visitors.
