Suburban League Side

Eastbourne Borough 3 Eastleigh 3

Eastleigh returned with a point from their Suburban League fixture at Eastbourne Borough. Andrew White gave Eastleigh the lead, which was pegged back by the hosts. Eastbourne then went ahead before Liam Robinson equalised for the Spitfires.

It was Eastbourne Borough who again edged in front but substitute Geoff Dunn netted to secure a share of the spoils.

Wyvern Football Combination League side

Newport IOW 3 Eastleigh 2
Eastleigh suffered their second Wyvern League defeat of the season, the first since their opening day defeat at Bemerton. Ryan Lewis gave The Spitfires an early lead only for the home side to draw level. Callum Holloway netted again to restore Eastleigh’s advantage but the home side again levelled before the break.

Newport gained their first league win with a goal in the second half to which Eastleigh could not find a reply. The Eastleigh squad included six sixteen-year-olds, only one player in their twenties and an average age of 17 1/2 years.

Hampshire County Youth League Side


Colden Common 1 Eastleigh 5

The Eastleigh Under 18 County Division Three Youth League side extended their unbeaten run this season to seven consecutive league and cup victories. Leading scorer Grant Newham grabbed two goals, a feat equalled by Chukuma Dibigbo as he chases Newham for top goalscorers slot, with a single from Liam Seager as the side claimed a 5-1 away victory at Colden Common.

Next up for the side is an away trip on Sunday (30th October) in the league to New Milton. In the Hampshire Youth Cup, we have an away tie with Redhill Rangers on Sunday 13th November.
