Press Release - Mike Green
Eastleigh FC have released summer goalkeeping signing Mike Green.
After being released by Bristol Rovers at the end of last season Green trialled with Cheltenham Town before signing for Eastleigh having impressed in friendlies at Weymouth, Oxford City and Sholing.
23-year-old Green was first choice for the opening league game of the season, which saw a 0-2 home defeat to Basingstoke Town.
Gareth Barfoot was preferred for the next fixture away at Truro City where Green sat on the bench. Green is hopeful of returning to the full time game soon, the Bristol born custodian has also played for Mangotsfield United and Clevedon Town.
Green has now been released and has joined Blue Square North side Gloucester City and made his debut in their midweek match away at Eastwood Town.
Also leaving the club is goalkeeping coach Ian Harris who had held similar posts with Salisbury City and Newport County.
