Eastleigh 2-2 AFC Fylde

It finished 2-2 at the Silverlake Stadium as Eastleigh made it five draws in six matches. Visitors AFC Fylde hit an equaliser in each half to earn a point.

Richard Hill's side opened the scoring through a Reda Johnson header in the 27th-minute, but it was cancelled out in first-half injury time when Henry Jones reacted quickly in the area to beat Graham Stack.

After the break, Gary McSheffrey netted his first Eastleigh goal in the 55th minute from a great assist by Mark Yeates.

Last year’s Conference North champions hit back again on the hour when Jordan Tunnicliffe hit a second equaliser,

Thank you EDOF

A BIG THANK YOU
Eastleigh Football Club can announce the resignation of Director of Football David Malone, who is standing down with immediate effect.
Dave has been an integral part of the Spitfires since becoming Director of Football in May 2006, but due to personal reasons he cannot continue his valued commitment to the club.

Posting on the EFC fans forum Dave says “I would like to thank everybody associated with Eastleigh Football Club for allowing me the privilege of sharing so many positive experiences over the past 6 years - and I truly wish the Club every future success”.

Dave who was previously a Director at Winchester City, Salisbury City & Bashley FC has been actively involved in every aspect of the Club and instrumental in Eastleigh’s on the pitch progress. Off field he was an influence in attracting Bridle Insurance to the Club. Simply put, without Dave’s hard work and efforts Eastleigh would not be at our present level within the higher echelons of Non League F…

Hill reacts to draw at Guiseley

Eastleigh boss Richard Hill has given his thoughts after the 0-0 draw away at Guiseley.

Hill said: “It was a horrible game, but credit to Guiseley.
“They put you under pressure from start to finish, but I don’t think that was the case before.

“It makes you think that if those players had played like that in the previous eight games (former management duo) Adam Lockwood and Dave Penney would still be in jobs, but that’s football for you.

“We’d had a couple of match reports done on them prior to the game, but we ripped them up because we knew it was going to be totally different to how they played under a new manager.

“Everyone will say you should go to places like that and win but, let me tell you, Guiseley haven’t played like that all season.

“It’s our luck at the minute that we’ve had a tough eight games and, for the ninth, we’ve come up against ‘new manager syndrome.

“We couldn’t get going. They were very physical and you expect that, but it’s difficult when they’re allowed to get away wi…
