Baird agrees new contract

"We are pleased to announce that we have today agreed an extended Contract with our Manager - Ian Baird.

The full details will, of course, remain confidential - but we can confirm that the Contract will be until 2011, with an option to further extend.

We trust that this will indicate our confidence in Bairdy, and will further demonstrate our determination to bring both stability and success to Eastleigh Football Club."

A stunning Josh Hare strike sealed a 2-1 win for the Spitfires on New Year's Day to defeat rivals Havant. Reda Johnson had headed Eastleigh in front.
