Eastleigh v WSM - Postponed

Today's game was called off five minutes before kick off by Dean Treleaven and his officials.

It was eventually decided that down the wings, the ball was not bouncing and feet were sinking too easily.

The general feeling was that the decision could have been made at 1:00pm when the conditions were exactly the same.

Andy Forbes was on the team sheet and was down to start up front; had the game gone ahead.

This is clearly a positive sign after the devastating news of being placed on the transfer list last week by manager Ian Baird.

Details of the re-arranged fixture will follow shortly.

    Please extend my sincere thanks to David Malone and Andy Forbes.
    Watching Andy Forbes play at both Winchester City and Eastleigh was a pleasure. His intelligence and attitude demonstrated the true value of the game. David Malone had the foresight to sign such a talent for us all to enjoy. Like all good things they both will not be truely appreciated until they are no more. Thank you both.

Eastleigh Football Club are delighted to announce Richard Hill as their new first team manager, with immediate effect. Richard will be introduced to the players and staff tomorrow evening and will take charge of his first match on Saturday against Maidenhead. Richard is vastly experienced having managed Stevenage Borough and assisted John Gregory at both Wycombe and QPR, Brian Little at Aston Villa and also fulfilled the same roles at Gillingham, Tranmere Rovers and Northampton Town.
