Reserve Team (Suburban Premier) Pre-Season Fixtures

The Eastleigh Football Club Suburban League Reserves side under the guidance of Darren Waterman has eight pre-season fixtures before they commence their Suburban League Premier Division programme on Saturday 20th August.

All of the games that the side will face are away from home on the grounds of Sydenhams Wessex Football League Premier Division sides, including the newly promoted Downton and Horndean.

Other games also see the Spitfires face Romsey Town on Saturday July 16th and Fawley AFC on Saturday 23rd July.

It is hoped that the first team list of pre-season games will be issued tomorrow (Friday), but we are still under a restraint to issue them from an npower Championship side that is included within the list. If we broke that confidence we would be at risk of the game being taken away from us.

Eastleigh Football Club are delighted to announce Richard Hill as their new first team manager, with immediate effect. Richard will be introduced to the players and staff tomorrow evening and will take charge of his first match on Saturday against Maidenhead. Richard is vastly experienced having managed Stevenage Borough and assisted John Gregory at both Wycombe and QPR, Brian Little at Aston Villa and also fulfilled the same roles at Gillingham, Tranmere Rovers and Northampton Town. It is a new era for the football club and we feel that in appointing Richard we have made the right choice. We are confident that he has all the attributes necessary to ensure the football club continues to develop and move forward in the correct manner.
