Funday update

We would like to thank everyone that attended our family Funday on Saturday and hope you enjoyed yourselves, despite the terrible weather conditions. We were delighted to see so many people wearing the new Eastleigh kit and sales of the reduced ‘early bird' season tickets continue to fly off the shelves! With season ticket sales fast approaching 250 and only two weeks remaining, get in quick to enjoy those heavily discounted prices!

The winners of the Green King Clubhouse Raffle were:

Paul Satts
Nick Colville
Andy Reade

Paul, Nick and Andy will each receive a slab of IPA or Carlsberg.

The ‘guess the number of balloons in the Bridle mini' competition was shrouded with controversy. The count was made and a winner identified but seconds before the announcement was due to be made, a clever spark opened the boot of the Mini. Much to everyone's horror another ten balloons took flight into the sky!

After a frantic review of the entries we are delighted to announce the winner was Martin Ducker. Martin will be the proud recipient of a signed football and Bridle goodie bag.

Other news on the day included the players winning the Silverlake Trophy against the EFC supporters club in the penalty shootout which finished 4-2. Hero of the hour was Eastleigh goalkeeper Jack Dovey, however, new signing Wayne Shaw did himself no favours saving a penalty from manager Ian Baird!

The Junior Supporters though inflicted Eastleigh's first (and hopefully last) defeat of the season. Phillip Appiah, Damian Scannell and Chris Flood were literally overrun in the midfield by the under 15's in a thrilling match with the youngsters winning by a landslide margin.

The Supporters Club will announce the winner of the signed football and home shirt competition at our first home game.

If you are one of our lucky winners and have yet to receive your prize or would like to purchase a discounted ‘early bird' season ticket, please contact Shauna at the club on 02380 613361.
