Sam Wilson departs

Striker Sam Wilson has decided that owing to his restricted opportunities with the wealth of strike force currently at The Silverlake Stadium, to move on to pastures new to claim a regular first team spot.

Sam has signed for Sydenhams Wessex League side Winchester City and made his debut for them on Saturday, coming off the bench to net his first goal for the Club in their 2-3 defeat at Brockenhurst.

Sam joins former Spitfires Callum Casson, Leigh Mills, Liam Green, Adam Roberts, Chris Mason, Sam House and Ryan Holloway at City.

Sam leaves The Silverlake having made a total of 43 appearances and scoring 7 goals in the first team with the appearances mainly being as a used substitute since his original goal scoring debut against Havant & Waterlooville in the Hampshire Senior Cup in January 2011.
