Club statements: Ownership, Hessenthaler, Hill

Change in ownership
Eastleigh FC are pleased to confirm details of the ownership changes due to outgoing chairman Stewart Donald’s purchase of Sunderland AFC.

The club is now in possession of the relevant Football Association ownership and directors’ test approvals for Kenny Amor, Tom Coffey and Joanne Sprigg.

We are, therefore, now able to confirm that an agreement has been made for the above trio and current chief executive officer Mark Jewell to purchase a controlling interest of the football club from Stewart Donald and his family.

The new owners are due to be formally introduced to the National League’s executive board during the National Conference at the Celtic Manor on Saturday, June 9.

However, they have immediately taken control of the day-to-day running of the club.

We appreciate the fans’ patience during this transition period as we understand you have been eager for updates surrounding the future of the club.

Further updates regarding club developments will follow when we are in a position to disclose the relevant information.

Management team put pen to paper

Eastleigh Football club is pleased to announce that First Team Manager, Andy Hessenthaler and his assistant, Ben Strevens, have signed formal contracts which will see them in charge for the 2018/19 season.

Richard Hill departs

Eastleigh Football Club can confirm Richard Hill has left the football club by mutual consent.

We would like to put on record our sincere gratitude to him for his hard work during all his time at the club.

We wish him every success in the next chapter of his career.

EASTLEIGH V NEWPORT COUNTY MONDAY 12th MARCH 2007 Conference South So far so good, as Eastleigh pressed on with their busy schedule with a second comprehensive win in as many days. Yet another classy performance from the Spitfires saw them come out firing on all cylinders finding themselves two goals to the good in the blink of an eye, and just like they did in the Farnborough match at the weekend, they comfortably saw the game out. The only change from the winning side, saw Liam Green replace the injured David Hughes in the centre of midfield. Richard Hill

Eastleigh Football Club are delighted to announce Richard Hill as their new first team manager, with immediate effect. Richard will be introduced to the players and staff tomorrow evening and will take charge of his first match on Saturday against Maidenhead. Richard is vastly experienced having managed Stevenage Borough and assisted John Gregory at both Wycombe and QPR, Brian Little at Aston Villa and also fulfilled the same roles at Gillingham, Tranmere Rovers and Northampton Town. It is a new era for the football club and we feel that in appointing Richard we have made the right choice. We are confident that he has all the attributes necessary to ensure the football club continues to develop and move forward in the correct manner.
