A good display against newly promoted Downton. The team watched by the gaffer and director of football played some neat football and deserved the win although we did lose ground in the second half. Downton’s goal came from the penalty spot in the last minute of the game.

Saturday 29th July 2006 v Hamworthy
TEAM: Luke Douglas, Scott Gilham, Jordan Hamilton, Ryan Woodford, Jason Stock, Liam Winzar, Andy Weston, Lewis Hunt, Lee O’Connell, Ashley Jarvis, Ben Ngwa
SUBS: Joe Morrison (GK) Zach Glasspool, Tom Hutchins, Craig Cansdale, Macs Sampays.
Lost 3-1 goal by Zach Glasspool
Eastleigh started the game with two 17 year olds running the centre of midfield and played some good stuff but after about 25 minutes, Hamworthy realised they weren’t going to match Eastleigh by playing football and the older heads and experience tried to turn it into a battle. With so many youngsters playing we lost our game plan and Hamworthy ran out comfortable winners, but it is another step along the learning curve for the youngsters especially playing on a very poor pitch.
Next Games:
01/08/2006 (Tuesday) away to Hamble
02/08/2006 (Wednesday) away to Fawley
