SUBS: Luke Douglas, Liam Winzar, Craig Cansdale, Sayem Kabir
MATCH REPORT
6. Karim Hraiba through ball from left for the lively DARREN WHEELER, who sprinted into 18 yard box before easily slotting the ball into the bottom corner for the opening goal. 1-0.
14. Lewis Hunt to captain Ryan Ashford, stinger from 30 yards that swerved left and right with the keeper knowing very little about the save. As the powerful effort came back off the keeper it bounced awkwardly off striker Zach Glasspool and out for a goal kick.
22. Eastleigh went 2-0 up through a very quickly taken free kick that saw WHEELER pick up his second of the game. Hraiba was chopped down outside the box and with permission from the ref to take the kick early Ashford put the ball straight on the head of Wheeler who cooly found the back of the net with keeper left standing.
30. Ashford had another go from distance this time it was hit even more like a thunderbolt with the keeper doing well to keep it out.
39. Hraiba Karim great run down the left finding Darren Wheeler who nicked the ball past the keeper in the corner of the area before squaring for Glasspool who had the easiest of tappings but somehow he miscued his shot and the chance was gone.
43. Just before the break, two first players linked up again with Ashford taking a free kick deep on the right hand side this time but with exactly the same effect as the last. A superb delivery found WHEELER who emerged from a crowd of players to head down into the ground and up into the top corner of the net for a great hattrick.
HALF TIME: Eastleigh Reserves 3-0 Wellow
50. Wayne and Ian's side were just as dominant in the second half as they continued to cruise through the game. Darren Wheeler teed up Ryan Ashford early on but his attempt was deflected for a corner.
51. Hattrick boy Wheeler was given a rest perhaps as he will be getting a full game for the first team on Saturday? With Sayem Kabir coming on as the replacement, this move saw Macs Sampays move from right midfield to striker.
53. It was soon 4-0 when substitute Sayem Kabir started an attack down the right wing getting the ball into the box early where Glasspool helped the ball on to Sampays who was denied by a good block on the goal line. As the ball came back in Ashford played it left to KARIM HRAIBA whose first effort was smashed against the upright and then the same player followed his shot in for an easy finish.
57. The shots on target figure was going up and up and Eastleigh could easily have had a lot more. Yet another Ashford stunner from way out pleased the crowd but couldn't find a way past the agile Wellow keeper.
60. For all of the skippers efforts and chances to score, RYAN ASHFORD finally grabbed a deserved goal as he rounded off a good move involving Macs Sampays and Sayem Kabir to drill the ball low and hard past the keeper and this time there was no stopping it. 5-0.
There were even more chances as the game wore on with Lewis Hunt coming close and a speculative bicycle kick from Ashford not too far wide.
65. Craig Cansdale came on for Scott Gilham and slotted in at centre half with Adam James moving across to right back.
75. James burst forward from defence easily getting past the full back by cutting into the 18 yard box on the right hand side and then set up Glasspool who played it short to Ashford. Ash again struck it as clean as a whistle but a good defensive header prevented goal number 6.
82. New signing from French giants Auxerre, Karim Hraiba nearly added to his early second half strike. The left footer jinked past three defenders leaving an opportunity to shoot which he took and came inches wide of scoring.
85. Liam Winzar on for Lee O'Connell
87. There was still chances right to the end of the game with Glasspool coming very close firstly when he got the ball out of his feet from a Sampays pass before letting fly from the edge of the area that went just over the cross bar.
89. Then before the final whistle Glasspool struck the bottom of the post.
