11. Phil Cousins shot wide of goal from Ben Ngwa lay off
18. Aaron Martin long defensive header found Ngwa, who brought the ball down well before spreading the play out to the left for Brett Williams. Williams however, couldn't keep his half volley down.
24. Scott Gilham to Ryan Ashford down left, the captain did superbly well to keep the ball in whilst flicking a pass over to Ngwa all in one movement. Although the young striker took a slightly heavy touch and the ball went out for a goal kick.
28. The two left sided players linked up well again - Gilham and Ashford, with the full back feeding the ball into the feet of Ngwa whose excellent touch allowed him to spray the ball out to the right wing for Macs Sampays who was in acres of space, but as he bore down on goal he beat his man and shot wide of goal.
29. Eastleigh continued to threaten their opponents, who were 4th in the league before todays game, and the home side soon took the lead. BRETT WILLIAMS was the scorer as he cut inside from the left wing before smashing the ball into the top right hand corner leaving the keeper no chance.
35. The youthful Eastleigh side continued their onslaught with Andy Weston doubling the lead.
It was Weston that started the move off with a chipped pass down the right touchline for Ngwa and after a few short passes between Williams and Ashford in the penalty area, it came back out for ANDY WESTON who drove the ball home with the sweetest of strikes as the bullet-like shot flew past the standing Uxbridge goalkeeper.
39. Ryan Ashford made it three, just before half time, but before that another well worked Eastleigh move nearly resulted in a second goal for Williams. A perfect cross from the right back Liam Winzar picked out the tall front man but his volley was angled just wide of goal.
41. The skipper, RYAN ASHFORD, capped an excellent first half performance from the Spitfires with a powerful low drive.
HALF TIME: Eastleigh Res. 3-0 Uxbridge
47. A low effort from the left hand side had Eastleigh keeper Luke Douglas scrambling across his goal but in the end it was comfortably wide.
48. Lee O'Connell on for Liam Winzar
54. Ryan Ashford and Ben Ngwa teamed up with a showboat move as they looked to increase their lead to 4 goals. 'Ash' skillfully flicked it up for Ngwa who went for goal with a cheeky chip and was only denied by the cross bar.
56. Paul Fagg on for Andy Weston
59. Phil Cousins effort wide of goal after good work between Ashford and Ngwa down the left flank. Cousins, who made his debut for Eastleigh against Basingstoke in midweek, beat his man easily but his shot with the outside of his boot failed to trouble the keeper.
67. Ben Ngwa had goal ruled for offside - lovely header from Williams cross.
69. Hraiba Karim on for Macs Sampays
78. Cousins tripped just outside box, Ashford stepped up to fire the ball around the wall and inches wide of goal.
87. Karim played the ball down the right touchline and with Brett Williams chasing the Uxbridge keeper charged out of goal before upending the Eastleigh goalscorer. Strangely a throw in was awarded with no sign of a free kick as Williams was left needing treatment.
89. Eastleigh continued to dominate right to the final whistle. Cousins played a nice one-two with Ashford by the half way line and then went for goal from distance. It was similar to the David Beckham lob against Wimbledon all them years ago, except it didn't go in!
A word of praise must also be offered to young centre back Aaron Martin, better known as 'Spud'. The 16 year old centre back made his debut for the reserves today and the Under 18 captain put in a very impressive, solid display.
