MATCH REPORT BY JAMIE MONTIGUE

Eastleigh's third straight victory came at the expense of Beaconsfield this evening as the second string continued their storm up the table, this latest result coming days after the 2-0 win over Metropolitan Police where Zach Glasspool had a field day picking up both goals.

The first chance came in the fifth minute when Zach Glasspool nodded over from Liam Winzar's left flank corner, one which the young striker - operating as a left winger, won himself in the first place.

A quarter of an hour had been played when the Beaconsfield goalkeeper Jamie Hill was called into action not once but twice in a matter of seconds.

Nathan Lynch was floored on the very edge of the area, but Glasspool continued by hitting two powerful strikes that were both kept out tremendously as the Spitfires looked to make an early mark in the game.

Further chances went astray but the pressure was mounting and it was only a matter of time before one went in.

The deadlock was eventually broken ten minutes before the break as Ian Knight and Wayne Mew's side took a deserved lead.

A deep free kick from the right saw Lynch flick the ball on with precision and skill into the path of OBI NENE, who needed no second invitation and looped his shot over the goalkeeper and into the net to complete a very well taken goal.

With confidence now in abundance, left back Ross Walliss looked to join the party with a blistering strike out of nowhere from way out on his right foot. The shot was hit hard and low and caused the keeper all kinds of problems, only just managing to keep it out.

The visitors' first effort came from a lovely Billy Fraser free kick that was very unfortunate to bounce back of the lower upright to Douglas' right, but it was Eastleigh who were very much in control as the half came to an end.

HALF TIME: Eastleigh Res. 1-0 Beaconsfield Res.

Just seven minutes in, and Eastleigh had doubled their advantage through a very fine solo effort by NATHAN LYNCH. Lynch, who had made his first appearance for the first team only 24 hours ago coming on as a sub, just kept running and made the finish look easy as he beat his marker cutting in from the right before planting a powerful left foot effort past the goalkeeper for goal number two.

Only a minute later, Eastleigh were hit by an immediate reply from Beaconsfield who wasted little time in responding. A corner from the left pinged about inside the six yard box before BILLY FRASER stabbed the ball past the helpless Luke Douglas who couldn't keep it out despite getting a hand to it.

Glasspool looked to restore the advantage short of the hour mark but only managed to find the sidenetting following Douglas' perfect drop kick into the youngsters path.

Eastleigh were soon back to where they were, two goals in front when the referee awarded a penalty kick for a foul on Nathan Lynch. Walliss' throw was met by a clever turn by the second half goalscorer, who was clearly tripped.

LIAM WINZAR, stepped up and nestled the ball comfortably in the bottom corner sending the goalkeeper the wrong way with the perfect penalty.

Beaconsfield were given a penalty of their own, when Aaron Martin was harshly judged to have taken the player and not the ball. Justice, was settled however when Fraser struck the spot kick yards wide of the left hand post.

The win was secured through another excellent Eastleigh goal. This time it was BEN BOSLEY who had only been on the pitch a matter of minutes. It was Ben's first game back in over a month but it was the same typical finish who made it look like he hadn't been away.

Fellow substitute, Joe Prince-Wright made the goal with an excellent reverse pass with a flick of the boot into the path of Bosley who did all the rest with thumping home the fourth and that is how it finished.

FULL TIME: Eastleigh Res. 4-1 Beaconsfield Res.
