Dean Holdsworth from Newport County has been named the Blue Square Bet Premier ‘manager of the month’ for September. The newly promoted Exiles won five of their six games during the month including Dean’s historic clash against his twin brother David’s Mansfield Town. County also won at Rushden & Diamonds and managed to become the team to end Cambridge United’s unbeaten home record with a 1-0 success. Following the ‘Welsh Derby’ with Wrexham at the beginning of the month, Holdsworth’s side go into October off the back of five straight victories.

The Blue Square Bet North ‘manager of the month’ for September is Steve Kittrick from Guiseley.
