Daily Echo article

The article that appeared in the Echo recently regarding Sam WIlson needs some clarification to ensure a fair and balanced view on the statements made by the club on Ian Baird's behalf.

At no stage in any conversations we had with Ben Wilson or Matty Gray was Barry Wilson involved in any negotiations with either of the players or the club. He did not advise them nor did he try to get involved in their decisions not to take the contracts which we offered the players.

In the article it stated Stewart Donald quoted, "From Ian's perspective one of the stumbling blocks was that he was unwilling to pay an agents fee to Barry for Jack's signature". We would also like to state that in a conversation between Stewart and Barry Wilson, the following was said by Barry, " If I am the reason Ian won't sign Jack, then I will advise Jack to complete the deal without me for the benefit of the player and the club."

The club will make no further comment on theses matters.
