Club statement - Todd sacked

Chris Todd has been sacked as Eastleigh manager. A statement on the club website read as follows:

"Eastleigh Football Club can confirm that following a conversation with Chris Todd, he has been relieved of his duties as First Team Manager.

"We would like to thank Chris for all his efforts both as manager and player. He has been a great servant to Eastleigh Football Club in what has been a hugely successful period.

"The Club will now begin its search for his replacement and are hopeful of making an announcement by the weekend."

Chris Todd: Eastleigh sack manager four games into new season

Eastleigh have parted company with manager Chris Todd just four games into the new National League campaign. The Spitfires took four points from their first two league games, but have since suffered back-to-back defeats. Todd, 34, took charge at Ten Acres in September last year, initially on an interim basis, and led the club to seventh place in the table last season.

Eastleigh wheels already in motion to replace Todd

EASTLEIGH have hinted that the wheels are already in motion to find a replacement for sacked boss Chris Todd. After relieving Todd of his duties this morning, in the wake of last night's 4-2 defeat against Dover, the club said they had already begun their search for a new boss and were "hopeful of making an announcement by the weekend."
