Is 63 Goal Striker on His Way to Eastleigh?
23-year-old Justin Bennett is reportedly a player that Paul Doswell may be interested in signing. In today's Daily Echo, it is said that the Andover striker who has scored 63 goals already this season could make a step up from the level of football that he is currently playing at and if the price is right Paul Doswell may well see him as an ideal target. Here are some of the comments that Paul made:
"We've been keeping our eye on him (Justin Bennett) for as long as a season now but felt he needed time to grow up as a striker.
"He's definitely someone we'd be interested in having in our squad, but I think he's still got another year on contract and a lot would depend on what Andover were asking for him. We're not going to pay £10,000 or £15,000 when we can pick people up for nothing."
Another player that Doswell also mentioned in the article from the Echo was Winchester City striker Jamie Musselwhite. "I also think Winchester City's Jamie Musselwhite deserves a crack at this level..."
