Douglas set for Terras?
Reported in today's Daily Echo was the story that Eastleigh striker Stuart Douglas could be shipped out on loan to Conference National side Weymouth to regain match fitness. The Spitfires forward has been out of action having suffered from knee problems early in the season. Having recovered from a successful operation, Douglas briefly went out to Lymington & New Milton but it appeared to be too soon for a comeback at the time.
Ian Oliver, who has found his chances limited since the summer arrival of Francis Benali, and Phil Cousins, former Portsmouth and Q.P.R midfielder, have been snapped up by Winchester City on loan according to their messageboard, but it is understood that with Benali being suspended next weekend (for five yellow cards), that Oliver will be allowed to come back to slot in at left back.
This would be valuable experience for the youngsters who need to be playing regular first team football to aid their development.
