Eastleigh Res.0-0 Molesey Res.

11/02/2006

Eastleigh had a young side out today against Molesey with new keeper Lee Cozens making his debut following his move down from Birmingham where he played for Kenilworth Town.

Ben Ngwa almost scored within the first minute, but chances for Eastleigh were few in the first half.

In fact Molesey had a lot of the play and good defending from Eastleigh kept them at bay.

Following a shout for a penalty, the Molesey player coach was sent to the stand.

Then just before half time the Eastleigh keeper was beaten however centre back, Dan Brunnen did well to clear the ball off the line to keep the scores level at the break.

Half time: 0-0

Molesey came out strong in the second half and had a shot hit the post and two more efforts saved by the impressive Cozens.

Under 16 player Mitchell Fear came on for his debut replacing winger Andy Dickens, but he slotted into right back with Dan Smith moving to wide right.

Later in the half Ya Yo Diallo replaced left back Jordan Hamilton with Eastleigh then switching to three at the back to try and snatch a win.

However the back three did well to keep Molesey at bay with Craig Martin playing well in the centre of defence, despite being the shortest player on the pitch.

Late on Lucas Goode replaced the injured Ben Ngwa, but neither side could find the killer touch at the game ended 0-0, despite a late free kick on the edge of the area from skipper Chris Hall.

Full time: 0-0
