Eastleigh v Bromley - Match preview

By Kieran James

Eastleigh play Bromley at the Silverlake Stadium on Tuesday in the Blue Square Bet South.

The Spitfires come into this game having beaten fellow promotion candidates Chelmsford 2-1 on Saturday. Tom Jordan and Jamie Slabber scored a goal a piece to seal all three points for Eastleigh.

The Ravens' last game was away to Havant and Waterlooville where the game finished 2-0 to the Hawks.

The last game between Eastleigh and Bromley finished 3-0 to tomorrow night's opponents, when Bromley had the home advantage on that occasion.

The last game played at The Silverlake Stadium between the two teams finished 6-1 to The Spitfires with five different scorers. Andy Forbes 2, Jamie Brown, Tom Jordan, Peter Adeniyi, and Aaron Martin were all on the scoresheet back in August 2009 in this high-scoring victory for Ian Baird's side.

Eastleigh goalkeeper Gareth Barfoot is available following a one match suspension for a straight red card in the 2-0 defeat at home to Braintree.

Bromley's last twenty games have seen them fail to score ten times, four of those games being away and have failed to keep a clean sheet four times, three of them games being away.

In The Spitfires last twenty games they have kept four clean sheets, only one of them games being at home and have failed to score only twice in their last twenty games, which were both at home.

Bromley have lost four, won only one and have drew one in their last six games. Eastleigh have won three, drew one and lost one in their last six games.

The Spitfires sit in seventh place, four points above ninth-placed Bromley and four points away from that all important play-off spot; however, Eastleigh have three games in hand on Bromley and two games in hand on fifth placed Chelmsford City.

Eastleigh have a goal difference of +17 having scored 51 goals (27 of them being at home) and conceding 34 (18 of them being at home), in the league this season whereas Bromley have netted only 38 times (21 of them being away) and have conceded 46 goals (25 of them being away) in the league with a goal difference of -8.

Bromley have former Spitfire Warren McBean in their squad, the striker scored against Eastleigh the last time these two teams met.

Eastleigh and Bromley have both won three out of the last six games they have met each other in the league, however Eastleigh have won two of them at home.

Lets roar on the Spitfires in this important Blue Square Bet South match at The Silverlake Stadium.

COME ON YOU SPITFIRES!!!
