Eastleigh FC rein in Bridle

Bridle Insurance is delighted to announce an agreement to become the new main sponsors of Eastleigh Football Club.
Eastleigh FC, affectionately known as “The Spitfires” are on the doorstep of our large Chandlers Ford centre and it seemed a natural fit for Bridle as we continue to enhance our south coast presence ever further. Following the success of our Oxford United sponsorship it seemed an ideal opportunity to become more closely involved with our local Hampshire club who play in the Blue Square Bet Conference South – just 2 steps down from the full Football League.
The club was founded in 1946 as Swaythling Athletic and in 1980 was renamed Eastleigh – some 11 years after Bridle themselves started in 1969.
The club have played at the Silverlake Stadium since 1957 and the ground’s record attendance is 3,191 for a friendly match against Southampton in July 2007. The club are managed by Ian Baird, the ex-Leeds United star and previous Eastleigh players include Southampton icons Matt Le Tissier and Francis Benali. Former managers include Southampton legends Jason Dodd and David Hughes.
Bridle very much look forward to supporting Eastleigh to success where we hope present leading players like Jamie Slabber and Damian Scannell will continue to grab the headlines.
We look forward to announcing more exciting Eastleigh Football Club developments as they happen.
