Ronnie Moore wins September manager of the month award

Ronnie Moore has been awarded the manager of the month award for September after making a great start to life at Eastleigh in the Vanarama National League.

Moore has guided Eastleigh to six wins in an unbeaten run of ten games since taking charge.

His assistant manager Kevin Watson should also take credit for the success, as should the players who have performed so well under the duos guidance.

Eastleigh find themselves at the top of the form table and have climbed up to fifth position in the league occupying one of the play-off spots.

The award recognises Moore and Eastleigh's performances in September where the Spitfires won three times and drew twice in an unbeaten month.

A statement from the league said: "Whilst no club achieved a 100 per cent record in September, which brought several high-profile managers into contention, the Spitfires boss in his first full month in charge recorded a vital win away at Macclesfield Town to make a big statement to other promotion contenders.

"A number of managers in the National League have Football League experience and it is the ability to win vital matches and prepare the players which will earn the right to return.

"Moore has demonstrated during September that, come the end of the season, the Hampshire club will no doubt be in the hunt."
